Southampton came from behind but could not hold on against Crystal Palace as Jordan Ayew’s first goal of the season meant the points were shared.
The Eagles initially took the lead after just two minutes when Wilfried Zaha fired past Willy Caballero.
But the Saints fought back and were level on 32 minutes thanks to James Ward-Prowse’s exquisite free-kick that left Jack Butland no chance as it sailed into the top-left corner.
Butland was picking the ball out of his net again four minutes later, this time it was Armando Broja who rifled home from all of 25 yards out.
Southampton had Cabellero to thank after a fine double save denied Odsonne Edouard after the break, but he failed to deny Ayew in the 65th minute, who finished from an acute angle.
More to follow.
