Transfer Talk: Turbo Timo speeding towards Chelsea exit

Borussia Dortmund are ready to end Timo Werner’s Chelsea nightmare with a summer bid for the German.

Werner, 25, has struggled since swapping RB Leipzig for the Blues back in 2020.

Now Sky Germany believe BVB want to bring him back to the Bundesliga to help spearhead their attack, with Erling Haaland likely to depart at the end of the season.

While Werner netted 95 goals in 159 games for Leipzig, he has only managed 18 in 75 games for Chelsea.

Just seven of those have come in the Premier League and a number of glaring misses have frustrated fans.

He is unlikely to be the only departure in what could be a summer of change in West London.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Andreas Christensen is close to agreeing a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona.

Bayern Munich remain interested in the centre-back, whose deal runs out in June, but the Spanish giants look set to win the race.

Antonio Rudiger’s future has been up in the air for much of the current campaign with his contract also coming to an end.

Sky Sports say Rudiger’s agents are in constant dialogue with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain but the German does not want a decision announced before the end of the campaign.

And the Blues may well sell two of their most exciting young talents as they look to raise cash for the transfer market.

Armando Broja, who has impressed on loan at Southampton, and midfielder Tino Anjorin, both 20, could depart, say the Evening Standard.
