There was no separating the division’s two leading lights as City and Liverpool exchanged blows in a pulsating encounter on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola’s men remain one point ahead at the Premier League summit but with seven fixtures still to come for both sides, the title remains very much up for grabs.
Meanwhile, there was another twist in the top-four battle as Tottenham took advantage of slip-ups from Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham and Wolves.
At the bottom, Everton secured a huge three points and their midweek conquerors Burnley toiled at basement boys Norwich.
