Manchester United have confirmed that Jesse Lingard will follow Paul Pogba in leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the month.
The 29-year-old has been with the Red Devils since joining their academy at the age of seven but has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford in recent seasons.
The 32-cap England international’s departure after 22 years at the club was expected after making just two league starts during the 2021-22 campaign.
A club statement read: “Manchester United can confirm that Jesse Lingard will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Jesse for all of the memories he’s helped create during his two decades here and wish him the best of luck in his future career.”
The announcement comes just hours after the Red Devils revealed fellow academy graduate Pogba would also be leaving on a free transfer on June 30.
