Ajax winger Antony is reportedly determined to join Manchester United this summer in a boost to Erik ten Hag’s transfer plans.
The Red Devils are set for a squad overhaul under their new boss but so far no new faces have come through the door.
Brazil international Antony, 22, is believed to be one of their prime targets and Goal say he is keen to reunite with the former Ajax chief at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag is an admirer of the nine-cap ace and sees him as the best choice to add a quality forward with Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani both departing this summer.
It is indicated that United have held informal discussions over a raid, though no formal bid has been made.
Antony is not the only Ajax player the Old Trafford chiefs are said to be tracking this summer with potential moves for defenders Jurrien Timber and Lisandro Martinez also making headlines.
But United may find themselves having to pay over the odds as Dutch media are reporting that the Eredivisie champions are determined to keep the trio.
It is said that they will demand a fee in excess of £60million to let Antony leave, while holding out for £43m each for Timber and Martinez.
With negotiations over a swoop for £70m-rated Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong still ongoing and a reported maximum budget of £120m this summer, the Dutch boss may have to be selective over who he brings in.
