Carney Chukwuemeka has set his sights on clinching silverware after joining Chelsea from Aston Villa for a reported £20million.
The midfield prospect, 18, is a highly-rated England youth international and scored in the final of the Young Lions’ European Under-19 Championship triumph last month.
After signing a six-year deal with the West Londoners, he said: “It’s been quite hectic but I couldn’t get Chelsea out of my head the last few days so I’m just happy and relieved that it’s all done.
“To hear myself say, ‘I play for Chelsea Football Club’ means the world to me. I’ve been a fan of Chelsea since I was young.
“I’m so excited and just can’t wait to get on the pitch, meet all the players and try to win games and trophies with Chelsea.”
Blues chairman Todd Boehly added: “Carney is one of the most exciting young players in Europe so we are really looking forward to seeing him in action at Stamford Bridge.
“We are delighted to be able to bring him to Chelsea and add such a talented young individual to our squad for the new season and beyond.”
Chukwuemeka joins former Manchester City star Raheem Sterling and defensive colossus Kalidou Koulibaly in arriving at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Thomas Tuchel is reshaping his squad after losing Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid on a free transfer and seeing £97.5million flop Romelu Lukaku return to Inter Milan on loan.
The Blues are also believed to be on the verge of completing a move for Brighton star Marc Cucurella.
