Liverpool are preparing a player-plus-cash deal for Jude Bellingham as they try to win the race for his signature.
The Reds are willing to send Naby Keita to Borussia Dortmund as well as a large sum of money to complete the deal in January.
Bellingham’s displays for both BVB and England mean his stock continues to rise as Europe’s hottest young talent.
Now German outlet BILD believe Jurgen Klopp will accelerate their plans to ensure they land their man.
It had appeared that the Anfield outfit were favourites to sign Bellingham next summer as they look to reinvigorate their midfield.
But Marca say Real Madrid have made him their top target and have funds to spare with no expectation that they will chase Kylian Mbappe again.
On top of that Manchester United have held a long-term interest in the ex-Birmingham midfielder, while reports suggested Manchester City felt they were at the front of the queue at the weekend.
Now Liverpool must hope that Dortmund’s interest in Keita, who would be a ready-made replacement for Bellingham, means they can get a deal done.
Either way, Bellingham is a certain starter for England at the World Cup in November and if he impresses, his price tag will only increase.
