Liverpool are reportedly ready to move for Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala should they miss out on Jude Bellingham.
Borussia Dortmund skipper Bellingham, 19, has caught the eye of a number of top European sides and is expected to spark a bidding war should the Bundesliga side decide to cash in.
But while the Reds are keen to snap up the England star, he is not the only midfielder in their sights.
According to The Mirror, Germany international Musiala has been identified as a solid back-up option, largely due to his versatility.
Musiala spent time with Southampton and Chelsea earlier in his career.
He was capped by England at various youth levels and made two appearances for the Under-21s before switching allegiance to his homeland.
