Transfer Talk: Spurs quick off the Marc to land Guehi

Tottenham are one of a host of Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi this summer.

Guehi, 22, is on Antonio Conte’s radar as the Spurs boss looks to bring in two new central defenders for next season.

The Palace powerhouse has played in all but one of their Premier League matches under Patrick Vieira this season and has helped the South Londoners keep five clean sheets.

The Mail claim that the Eagles could be tempted to sell their No6 for £45million as multiple clubs keep tabs on the England international’s situation.

Guehi has emerged as one of the best young centre-backs in the country over the last two years and has so far earned three international caps under Gareth Southgate, making his debut last March.

With Clement Lenglet’s loan set to expire in June and Davinson Sanchez’s future in doubt, the Chelsea academy graduate would be a suitable replacement in North London.

Guehi is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2026 so it is likely that Palace chiefs will be stubborn negotiators.

But if they can get a deal over the line, Spurs would be getting a superb talent who would fill the homegrown quota and could develop into a top player under Conte.
