Arsenal vs Tottenham: Check out LiveScore’s combined XI

After Tottenham denied Arsenal a Champions League spot last term, the North London rivals renew acquaintances on Saturday lunchtime.

The Gunners lead the Premier League and welcome third-placed Spurs to the Emirates looking for revenge.

But which players make LiveScore’s combined XI? Find out below.

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)

Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris will be between the sticks ahead of Aaron Ramsdale after an impressive start to the campaign.

He has made more saves (16), caught more crosses (eight), won the ball back in the defensive third more times (13) and made fewer errors leading to a shot (zero) than Ramsdale, plus he beats the Gunners stopper in all passing stats too.

Right-back: Ben White (Arsenal)

It is not his preferred position by any means, yet Ben White has proven himself more than capable of filling in there this term.

He is better defensively than Spurs’ first choice Emerson Royal and comfortable enough going forward, as shown by the times he played in midfield for Leeds and Brighton previously.

Centre-back: William Saliba (Arsenal)

William Saliba hit the ground running with a stunning debut at Crystal Palace to kick off the season and that has continued in the first seven games.

Praise has been showered on the Frenchman, 21, from all angles and he looks set for a long career at the very top level.

Centre-back: Cristian Romero (Tottenham)

Earlier this week, Cristian Romero’s Argentina team-mate Rodrigo De Paul said: “Most underrated player in the World? Cuti Romero, he’s very, very, very good.”

Whether or not you agree with that assessment, the 24-year-old has been outstanding for Spurs, barely putting a foot wrong for Antonio Conte’s side.

Left-back: Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal)

Left-back might just be the strongest position in Arsenal’s squad with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney both starting calibre at most clubs.

But the ex-Manchester City man gets the nod, as he did for the Gunners before he picked up an injury a few weeks ago.

Centre-midfield: Rodrigo Bentancur (Tottenham)

A near-guaranteed starter for Conte at Tottenham, Rodrigo Bentancur is a classy operator in the centre of the park.

Clever at breaking the lines with passes to Spurs’ front three, he also opened his account in the 5-2 win against Leicester and will hope to find the back of the net more in future games.

Centre-midfield: Thomas Partey (Arsenal)

Arsenal are a different side when Thomas Partey plays, such is his influence in the middle of the park.

He missed three games with a thigh problem and their best performances this term have come in the other four — his fitness issues are Gunners’ fans only gripe.

Right-wing: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Bukayo Saka has been one of the stars of Arsenal’s flying start to the campaign with one goal and four assists already.

Both Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski are impressive for Spurs, but the England winger gets the nod in our XI.

Attacking midfielder: Martin Odegaard (Arsenal)

Named club captain by Mikel Arteta in the summer, Martin Odegaard is both a leader on the pitch and a key cog in the Gunners’ attacks.

Ex-skipper Granit Xhaka said: “He is very young, only 23, but in how he behaves and is on the field, he looks like he’s 30. It looks like he has already played 500 or 600 games.”

Left-wing: Heung-Min Son (Tottenham)

Anyone who thought Heung-Min Son was set for a quieter season was made to look very silly when he smashed in a stunning hat-trick against Leicester.

Last term’s joint-top scorer is just as dangerous with either foot and possesses pace that causes defenders’ nightmares.

Striker: Harry Kane (Tottenham)

Gabriel Jesus may have four goals this season but Harry Kane’s worst Premier League total in the past eight campaigns is 17, the Brazilian has never scored more than 14.

Kane, 29, is an elite striker and the best in the top flight until the arrival of Erling Haaland, any team in the world would jump at the chance to have him in their starting line-up.
