The semi-finals of the Europa League and Europa Conference League get underway on Thursday and we have picked out our best bets.
With four games to look forward to, fans should be in for another thrilling night of European football.
Europa League — West Ham vs Eintracht Frankfurt
West Ham’s recent form has been poor to say the least with David Moyes’ side winning just one of their last five matches in all competitions.
However, their European dream will continue on Thursday when they host Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt at the London Stadium.
Interesting, Frankfurt are on an identical run of results — winning one and drawing two of their last five games — but they showed their class to stun Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
Both teams have shown they are capable of finding the back of the net so far in the competition, with the Hammers netting eight in five at home. Frankfurt have been clinical on their travels so far, netting nine times in five away matches and both teams to score looks the way to go.
Europa League — RB Leipzig vs Rangers
RB Leipzig play host to Scottish giants Rangers and they will fancy their chances of victory.
The German outfit have only lost twice in 2022, although their 10-match unbeaten run at home was ended last weekend following a 2-1 defeat to Union Berlin.
Leipzig have charged up the Bundesliga table recently and have also booked their place in the DFB-Pokal final so will feel they can emerge victorious against the Gers on home soil.
The Glaswegians have only won two of their last 24 matches in European competition away to German opposition and a home win to nil offers good value.
Conference League — Leicester v Roma
Leicester will look to extend their unbeaten run at home to 10 matches when they welcome Roma to the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes overturned a late deficit to sneak past PSV Eindhoven in the last round, while Jose Mourinho’s men proved too much for Bodo/Glimt.
Both teams have struggled since those victories, failing to win any of their subsequent league matches and it would not come as a shock to see both sides cancel each other out.
Mourinho will be well aware of the threat that Brendan Rodgers’ side will pose and is likely to tell his team to sit back as they wait to do further damage in next week’s second leg.
Conference League — Feyenoord v Marseille
Feyenoord will hope to upset the odds in this tie, even though Marseille have won 10 of their last 11 games.
The Eredivisie club overcame Slavia Prague to reach the final four and while they have been in fine form themselves, they will be without a number of key men.
Argentinian central defender Marcos Senesi is ruled out with a groin injury joining goalkeeper Justin Bijlow and midfielder Jens Toornstra on the sidelines.
Jorge Sampaoli’s visitors will be confident of avoiding defeat here, with the double chance market a possible avenue for punters.
