FA Cup third round draw: Manchester City to take on Chelsea

Manchester City will host Chelsea in the third round of the FA Cup while Liverpool start their defence against Wolves at Anfield.

Pep Guardiola’s side lost 3-2 in the semi-final last year to the Reds but will face a tough test with Graham Potter eager to make his mark.

Holders Liverpool beat the Blues 6-5 on penalties to lift the trophy for the eighth time — and will be up against new Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui.

Meanwhile, Manchester United face Everton in an all-Premier League tie, with Erik ten Hag making his FA Cup debut.

Record 14-time winners Arsenal travel to League One side Oxford, while Tottenham welcome Portsmouth.

National League side Dagenham & Redbridge or League Two’s Gillingham will take on 2021 FA Cup winners Leicester.
