West Ham have sealed the signing of Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca for a reported £30.5million fee.
The 23-year-old centre forward becomes the Hammers’ fourth addition of the summer transfer window, after Nayef Aguerd, Alphonse Areola and Flynn Downes.
Scamacca scored 16 Serie A goals last term — only Ciro Immobile, Dusan Vlahovic, Lautaro Martinez, Tammy Abraham and Giovanni Simeone managed more.
The news comes as a boost to Irons boss David Moyes, having missed out on Jesse Lingard after the attacking midfielder opted to join Nottingham Forest instead of the London outfit.
