Lyon have confirmed the return of Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer following the striker’s departure from Arsenal.
Lacazette made his name playing for the French side, netting 129 goals after coming through the club’s academy.
And his arrival is somewhat of a coup for boss Peter Bosz considering Lyon do not have European football to look forward to next season.
A statement on the Ligue 1 outfit’s website said: “Lyon are very proud and very happy to announce the return of Lacazette, a product of the club’s academy.
“Out of contract at English club Arsenal, the French international has signed a three-year deal through June 30, 2025.
“Having transferred in July 2017 to Arsenal, Lacazette, at 31, has made the choice to return to the club that has seen him grow and become one of the greatest strikers in its history, despite offers from many major European clubs in recent weeks.”
