James Maddison has suffered an injury scare nine days from England’s World Cup opener after limping off in Leicester’s Premier League clash with West Ham.
The England midfielder was substituted in the 25th-minute at the London Stadium on Saturday, having received treatment on the pitch before he was brought off for Dennis Praet.
Maddison scored the opener for the Foxes — but his injury will be a big concern for England and Gareth Southgate.
The Three Lions begin their World Cup campaign against Iran on November 21, giving little time for the midfielder to recover.
