There are eight Premier League games to enjoy over the weekend with big clashes at the top and bottom of the table.
Leaders Manchester City are at Everton, West Ham and Wolves meet in the race for a European spot and Newcastle visit Brentford in a potentially pivotal match in the relegation battle.
Southampton vs Norwich (Friday, 8pm, Sky Sports)
In-form Southampton welcome rock-bottom Norwich to St Mary’s looking to cement their spot in the top half of the Premier League.
Saints are unbeaten in their last 10 home games in all competitions and have won on each of the Canaries’ last four visits to the South Coast.
Shane Long ended a 25-game wait for a league goal in the 2-0 win over Everton, while Che Adams is looking for his third goal in his past four games.
Back-to-back defeats for Norwich mean they are five points adrift of safety and have had fewer shots on target (70) than any other top-flight side this term.
Leeds vs Tottenham (Saturday, 12.30pm, BT Sport 1)
Slumping Leeds face Antonio Conte’s Tottenham desperate for points as they battle to stay in the top flight.
The Yorkshire club have lost three of their last four games at Elland Road but did beat Spurs 3-1 in this fixture last term.
Despite beating Manchester City last Saturday, defeat to Burnley in the week mean Spurs have only taken three points from a possible 15.
And their record at Leeds is poor in the Premier League, only winning on two of their 13 visits.
Brentford vs Newcastle (Saturday, 3pm)
Brentford and Newcastle face off in a huge clash at the bottom as the Magpies look to drag the Bees further into the relegation battle.
The West London side have only picked up one point from their past seven games, while Eddie Howe has seen his men win three and draw three of their past six matches.
Josh Dasilva netted the winner the last time the Tynesiders made the away trip to Brentford, in a Carabao Cup quarter-final tie in December 2020.
This could be the perfect game for Chris Wood to get off the mark for his new side, having scored nine goals in his last 13 games against promoted sides — including one for Burnley against Brentford back in October.
Brighton vs Aston Villa (Saturday, 3pm)
After beating Brighton in his first game in charge back in November, Steven Gerrard desperately needs Aston Villa to repeat that feat after a run of one win from eight games.
And they play the Seagulls at a good time, after a surprise 3-0 defeat to Burnley a week ago made it back-to-back defeats for Graham Potter’s men.
In fact, four of Brighton’s six league defeats this campaign have come at the Amex Stadium, where they have only netted 10 goals in 12 matches.
Early drama is unlikely on the South Coast, with no sides in the league scoring fewer goals than the two both Brighton and Villa have netted in the opening 15 minutes this season.
Crystal Palace vs Burnley (Saturday, 3pm)
Resurgent Burnley head to Crystal Palace looking to climb out of the relegation zone.
The Clarets are in line for their third consecutive victory and have won on each of their last two visits to Selhurst Park.
Though Palace smashed Watford 4-1 on Wednesday night, they have lost three league games in a row at home, not going on a longer run since the 2016-17 season.
And the omens are not good, given they have lost three and drawn one of their past four games against their Lancashire opponents.
Manchester United vs Watford (Saturday, 3pm)
Lowly Watford are Manchester United’s visitors as the Red Devils look to extend their seven-game unbeaten run in the top flight.
The Hornets have failed to win on any of their league visits to Old Trafford, losing on 11 occasions and drawing twice.
Victory here will give Watford their first league double against United, following their 4-1 win at Vicarage Road in November.
Though they won 1-0 at Aston Villa in their last away game, the Hertfordshire club have not managed back-to-back victories on the road in the top-flight since September 2017.
And they have to face an in-form Bruno Fernandes, with the Portuguese playmaker notching four goals and three assists in his past seven league games.
Everton vs Manchester City (Saturday, 5.30pm, Sky Sports)
The title race is back on but Manchester City can open up a six-point gap to Carabao Cup finalists Liverpool with victory at the Reds’ neighbours Everton.
Pep Guardiola’s men have won nine in a row against the Toffees, while they are unbeaten in 12 top-flight away games.
The relegation-threatened Merseysiders have already lost 13 league games this term, as many as they did in the entirety of last season.
While Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not scored in five games since returning from injury, Raheem Sterling is in a rich vein of form with 12 goals in 18 matches since the start of November.
West Ham vs Wolves (Sunday, 2pm, Sky Sports)
Neither West Ham nor Wolves can afford to drop points if they are to gatecrash the top four come the end of the season.
Back-to-back draws have halted the Hammers’ progress, while a last-gasp defeat to Arsenal on Thursday was a bitter pill to swallow for Wolves.
Though they have lost two of their past three games against West Ham, Wolves have beaten them more than any other side in the Premier League.
And in bad news for out of sorts striker Michail Antonio, he has failed to score in 10 games against the Black Country outfit, more than any other side in his English league career.
