Premier League: Predictions for all five games on Saturday

Recommended bets:
Back Fulham to win the second half
Back Brentford or Tie and Under 3.5 goals
Back Crystal Palace to win
Back a draw between Leicester and Wolves
Back Liverpool to score over 3.5 goals

There are five fantastic Premier League games scheduled on Saturday, with in-form outfits like Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth all bidding to keep their runs going while relegation-threatened clubs such as Leeds, Everton, Leicester and Nottingham Forest seek a much-needed boost.

Here are our expert writers’ top selections for each of those fixtures.

Fulham vs Leeds (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Leeds will have to be a much-improved force to stay with the resurgent Cottagers after Marco Silva found a way to coax three goals out of his side without Serbian star Aleksandar Mitrovic in the line-up for the first time since January 2022.

Although that may be possible with Max Wober’s settling presence in Gracia’s defence, the Austrian is not 100% match fit and will be hard pushed to maintain his levels throughout 90 minutes on his return.

The Whites have been weak in the second halves of matches lately and could eventually slip to a fourth away league defeat in five when Fulham find fifth gear after the break.

Back Fulham to win the second half at 31/20 with LiveScore Bet.

Brentford vs Aston Villa (Saturday, 3pm)

There has been little to like about Brentford’s three straight defeats, but back-to-back bad displays in front of their home fans have been rare since Thomas Frank took over.

The Bees can make things very difficult for a Villa side whose reliance on Ollie Watkins is covering up for a thin squad by sitting deep and closing off the passing and crossing lanes to the in-form striker.

They can also trouble Villa on the counter-attack by keeping two forwards up the pitch.

Frank’s team have posted higher xG numbers than their opponents in seven of their last nine home games, so this does not feel like the time to oppose them.

Back Brentford or Tie and Under 3.5 goals at 4/6 with LiveScore Bet.

Crystal Palace vs Everton (Saturday, 3pm)

Away from home, Everton have been dreadful, with only Nottingham Forest harbouring a worse road record.

It is hard to see them getting anything at Selhurst Park, either, with the Eagles suddenly playing with freedom and flair while Everton have conceded at least twice in all five away trips under Sean Dyche.

However, the best bet may well be to go for a straight home win given both Palace’s renewed confidence and their excellent record of eight wins from 11 matches against teams below them in the league, including victories in all four of those staged at Selhurst Park.

Back Crystal Palace, available at 11/10 with LiveScore Bet.

Leicester vs Wolves (Saturday, 3pm)

Leicester might struggle to see off a Wolves side who have impressed under Julen Lopetegui.

The visitors have lost only twice to fellow bottom-half teams since the Spaniard took charge and were unfortunate on both occasions, suffering some poor refereeing decisions against Leeds and being on the wrong end of a smash-and-grab against a Bournemouth side they dominated.

Supporters could be in for a treat with action at both ends, but both teams may have to settle for a share of the spoils.

Back the draw and both teams to score, available at 14/5 with LiveScore Bet.

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest (Saturday, 3pm)

As both Bournemouth and Manchester United know, the Reds are very hard to stop when they get into full flow, and that could spell disaster for Forest.

Steve Cooper’s side have been on the receiving end of some severe beatings away from home this season, losing 6-0 at Man City, 5-0 at Arsenal and 4-0 at both Leicester and West Ham.

A rejuvenated Liverpool can score at least four against the depleted and demoralised visitors.

Back Liverpool to score over 3.5 goals at 2/1 with LiveScore Bet.
