PSV meet Vitesse on Saturday in a huge game for the Eredivisie title race.
The match is set to be a thriller, with PSV currently joint-top and Vitesse just five points behind in fifth.
Both squads have plenty of talents on show, but who makes our combined XI? Read on to find out who has made the cut.
Goalkeeper: Markus Schubert (Vitesse)
Markus Schubert has helped Vitesse keep three clean sheets in the Eredivisie this season.
The German shot-stopper is an energetic presence in the visitors’ goal and is often quick off his line to prevent any oncoming danger.
Right-back: Phillipp Mwene (PSV)
This was a close call but PSV’s Phillipp Mwene gets the nod over Vitesse’s Eli Dasa in the right-back position.
The Austrian has provided one assist for the Rood-witten this season and has the ability to deliver dangerous crosses on either foot.
Centre-back: Olivier Boscagli (PSV)
Olivier Boscagli has been a top performer for PSV — the central defender has scored three goals for his side this campaign.
The 24-year-old has been a calm and collected head in the heart of the defence and has the ability to play out from the back effectively.
Centre-back: Riechedly Bazoer (Vitesse)
The Dutch international has been an ever-present for Vitesse and has experience at some of Europe’s top clubs including Porto and Ajax.
Bazoer, 25, has a goal and an assist to his name for the Geel en Zwart this season and has played a key role in helping his side chase the league leaders.
Left-back: Maximilian Wittek (Vitesse)
Maximilian Wittek rounds off our combined defence having had an electric start to the Eredivisie season.
The 26-year-old is a nuisance to attackers and possesses a desire to advance high up the pitch when Vitesse are on the front foot.
Defensive midfield: Ibrahim Sangare (PSV)
In the heart of midfield sits Ibrahim Sangnare — a true monster when it comes to tackling and protecting his team.
The Ivory Coast international represents a powerhouse in the middle of the park and likes to break forward and unleash a shot — two of which have found the back of the net this season.
Right midfield: Noni Madueke (PSV)
Since leaving Tottenham in 2018, Noni Madueke has gone on to thrive at PSV.
The 19-year-old scored nine goals in his debut season for the Dutch side and has caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs in recent months.
Left midfield: Cody Gakpo (PSV)
Another difficult choice was made as Cody Gakpo fends off Bruma for the left midfield spot in our combined XI.
Gakpo has one fewer goal than Bruma this season but has provided seven assists — more than double the amount of anyone else in the side.
Attacking midfielder: Mario Gotze (PSV)
World Cup winner Mario Gotze occupies the No10 role in our combined XI — the German has yet to make a huge impact in the Netherlands but his ability can be in no doubt.
The 29-year-old may be lacking the pace that he once had but he has still managed to provide his team-mates with plenty of chances in his seven league starts this term.
Striker: Lois Openda (Vitesse)
With five goals this season, Lois Openda sits at the top of the scoring charts for Vitesse.
The Belgian has utilised his pace to the club’s advantage in the current campaign — he will be looking to capitalise against PSV and exploit their backline.
Striker: Eran Zahavi (PSV)
Eran Zahavi partners Openda in attack as we round off our combined XI.
The Israeli international has been on fine form for PSV, netting four times this season — and the 34-year-old has also been prolific for his country, scoring eight times in nine World Cup qualifying matches.
