– There are seven Premier League matches taking place on Saturday
– Spurs look primed to take down Leicester
– Arsenal can get back to winning ways at Brentford’s expense
Tottenham will be hoping to make it four straight wins across all competitions when they travel to Leicester, while the Gunners are aiming to end a run of two defeats in a row when they host Brentford.
Our Bet Builder tips for Saturday cover the 3pm kick-offs at the King Power Stadium and the Emirates.
Spurs to maintain top-four push
Bet 1: Tottenham to win at Leicester
Leicester look much-improved for the introduction of January signings Harry Souttar, Victor Kristiansen and Tete but they could struggle to resist a Tottenham side who have suddenly sprung into life.
Spurs were deserved victors over Manchester City last weekend and prior to that were impressive in dispatching Preston 3-0 away in the FA Cup and beating a strong Fulham team 1-0 at Craven Cottage.
The Foxes beat Aston Villa last time out but prior to that had laboured to a 1-0 victory at League Two Walsall and had been second-best in a fortunate 2-2 draw with Brighton.
A Tottenham side who have won their last four meetings with Brendan Rodgers’ team will believe they can make it five on the trot.
Bet 2: Harry Kane to score anytime
Last weekend’s winner against City saw Harry Kane become Tottenham’s all-time record goalscorer with 267 goals and he has returned from the World Cup in fine form, scoring six goals in eight appearances.
He is also now only the third player to score 200 times in the Premier League and Leicester are his most frequent victims – Kane has netted 20 league goals against the team he once played for on loan, which is five more than he has scored against any other club.
The Tottenham striker has scored in six of his last seven appearances against the Foxes and will be full of confidence after last weekend’s record-breaking achievement.
Bet 3: Both teams to score
Tete’s arrival at the King Power Stadium has added an extra dimension to the Leicester attack, both with his direct, powerful runs and the fact that his addition to the right flank has allowed James Maddison to move back into the centre where he is most influential.
It was no great surprise that both players got on the scoresheet at Aston Villa last weekend and they will be eyeing up a Spurs defence that have conceded 31 goals in 22 league games and is shorn of suspended centre-back Cristian Romeo and injured first-team goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
This looks set up to be another end-to-end encounter in a fixture that has seen both teams score in each of the last four renewals, with goal returns of eight, four, five and six in that time.
Recommended Bet Builder: Tottenham to win, Harry Kane to score anytime and both teams to score @ 4/1
Gunners can win Brentford shootout
Bet 1: Arsenal to win
While there is a lot to like about Thomas Frank’s Brentford team, their hosts on Saturday have been absolutely imperious at the Emirates Stadium this season.
Mikel Arteta’s men have won eight of their nine home league matches in 2022-23, only dropping points on one occasion – a 0-0 draw against Newcastle, the most defensively resolute team in the top flight.
Convincing victories over Manchester United and Tottenham are among the Gunners’ eight home wins and Arteta’s troops will be confident of getting back on track after last weekend’s shock defeat at Everton.
Bet 2: Both teams to score
That said, the Gunners will not be taking Brentford lightly given the Bees arrive on the back of a nine-match unbeaten run that has taken in victories over Liverpool and away at City as well as a 2-2 draw against Tottenham.
Frank’s side have clicked in attack in recent weeks and are finding goals easy to come by, netting at least twice in seven of their last eight league games.
Bet 3: Over 3.5 Total Goals
It should be a lively encounter in north London as Arteta’s focus this season has been on blitzing opponents rather than blunting them – and particularly so on home soil.
The Gunners have scored three or more goals in six of their nine league matches at the Emirates Stadium but have kept just two clean sheets there.
Brentford have been going for it away from home, too, with five of their seven away matches against teams from above the bottom six ending with four or more goals.
Recommended Bet Builder: Arsenal to win, over 0.5 Brentford goals and over 3.5 total goals @ 3/1
