Saturday’s Premier League Bet Builder Tips: Slow burner at Stamford Bridge

– Chelsea have kept three clean sheets in five at Stamford Bridge
Leeds United have failed to win any of their last six away games in the Premier League
Tottenham have won four in five in the Premier League

After James Milton landed an 18/1 Bet Builder in Manchester United’s clash with West Ham, Dan Sait will try to follow suit this weekend, and he expects both Chelsea and Tottenham to come through their games against Leeds United and Wolves, respectively.

Chelsea’s meeting with Leeds United is one of seven fixtures in the Premier League on Saturday, with the two sides set to meet at Stamford Bridge at 15:00. At the same time, Tottenham travel to Wolves, and both games feature in our Saturday Bet Builder.

Chelsea to end winless run at Leeds’ expense

Bet 1: Under three goals

Considering the vast amount of money Chelsea have spent during the past two transfer windows, the lack of a go-to striker remains a glaring weakness within the squad.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has failed to find his feet since moving to Stamford Bridge, Kai Havertz has never been prolific, and Armando Broja is out with a season-ending injury.

There is plenty of attacking quality within the squad, but a lack of cohesion among a regularly rotated frontline has seen Chelsea score just three goals in their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Worryingly, the main criticism of Graham Potter at former club Brighton was that a well-drilled team frequently failed to finish off its chances, and the same seems to be happening at Chelsea.

Bet 2: First half to end in a draw

Leeds are not exactly prolific themselves, netting just three goals in their last six league outings, and with both teams struggling to find their attacking fluency, it would be no surprise if a cautious, disjointed first half passed by with limited goalmouth action.

Chelsea have failed to score in the first half of seven of their last eight league matches, while Leeds have failed to net in the first half of six of their last seven, so it would be no surprise if the first 45 minutes again failed to yield any goals.

Bet 3: Chelsea to win to nil

The Blues are at least keeping things relatively tight, only conceding more than a single goal in one of their last seven outings, and one goal could be enough to see off shot-shy Leeds.

The visitors have failed to score in four of their last six league outings and have beaten only rock-bottom Southampton in their previous 11, losing to nil at Nottingham Forest and Everton in their last three away games.

Recommended Bet Builder: Under 3 goals in the match for both teams combined, first half to be a draw, Chelsea to win to nil @ 6.5/1

Spurs to tame toothless Wolves

Bet 1: Tottenham to win

Tottenham fell to an embarrassing FA Cup defeat at Sheffield United in midweek, but that should not divert attention away from their much-improved league form.

Supporters might not take kindly to the lacklustre display at Bramall Lane, but star men Harry Kane and Cristian Romero were among those rested for this priority fixture in the Premier League.

Tottenham often lack threat in the absence of Kane and look a different side defensively when Romero is not playing, but they should be back to their best with a full-strength line-up.

Spurs have won four of their last five league games, including defeats of Manchester City and Chelsea, and have won nine of their 12 games against teams in the bottom half.

Bet 2: Under three goals

The new manager bounce that Wolves initially enjoyed following the appointment of Julen Lopetegui is showing signs of wearing off, with the Wanderers taking just one point from their last three games.

A lack of goals remains a problem, with only Everton netting fewer in the Premier League, and a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth in their last home game has punctured any belief that Molineux can become a fortress under Lopetegui.

Wolves have failed to score in seven of their eight meetings with the big six this term and are unlikely to contribute too much to the goalmouth action against a cautious Spurs side who have kept four clean sheets in their last five league games.

Bet 3: Harry Kane to score anytime

Harry Kane has scored in three of his last four starts against Wolves, including the only goal of the game in August’s reverse fixture. He will be full of confidence and raring to go after scoring against Chelsea before being rested in midweek.

Tottenham often look toothless in attack in the absence of the England captain, as was the case for the first 65 minutes against Sheffield United on Wednesday, but there is no questioning Kane’s continued goal threat.

The Spurs striker has scored 20 goals in 35 appearances for his club this season, and only Erling Haaland can beat his Premier League tally of 18.

Recommended Bet Builder: Tottenham to win, Under 3 goals in the match for both teams combined, Harry Kane to score anytime @ 7.5/1
