West Ham’s top four hopes took a huge dent as they lost 2-0 to Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium.
The hosts dominated the first half but were unable to capitalise when Bryan Mbeumo headed straight at Lukasz Fabianksi in what was the best chance of the half.
But Mbeumo soon gave the Bees the lead a few minutes into the second half as he turned in Ivan Toney’s pass.
Scorer then turned provider just after hour mark when Toney headed in Mbeumo’s cross to give Thomas Frank’s side a huge win.
The Bees now climb to 13th and are 12 points above Burnley in 18th.
More to follow.
