Mads Roerslev’s late winner gave Brentford their first win since December, coming from behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1
Danny Ings gave the visitors the lead with his fourth goal of the season after 16 minutes. Slipped through by Emi Buendia, he fired past Alvaro Fernandez with ease.
Yoane Wissa levelled three minutes before half time, killing Roerslev’s pass before bending into the far corner.
Having assisted the Bees’ equaliser, Roerslev gave Thomas Frank’s side three precious points seven minutes from time.
The ball was worked out to the wing-back on the right and, after Emi Martinez saved his initial effort, the Dane rattled home the rebound.
More to follow.
