Burnley climbed out of the bottom three after defeating Wolves 1-0 to claim a vital three points at Turf Moor.
The Clarets struggled to get a stranglehold on the game but nearly went ahead against the run of play when Dwight McNeil’s effort soared over the bar after 20 minutes.
The visitors dominated the opening half and went close when Nick Pope produced a terrific save to palm a Jonny shot out for a corner.
But Burnley went ahead just seven minutes into the second half when Matej Vyrda scrambled home Wout Weghorst’s pass on the edge of the six-yard box.
There were nervy moments for the hosts as Wolves piled on the pressure but they remained strong to earn their third consecutive Premier League win at home.
