West Ham survived a late fightback to defeat Crystal Palace 3-2 in a five-goal London derby thriller at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles started on the front-foot and struck the woodwork inside the opening minute when Jeffrey Schlupp fired at goal.
But it was the Hammers who took the lead on 22 minutes, with Michail Antonio getting on the end of a superb Said Benrahma cross to finish from close-range.
And David Moyes’ side doubled their lead just three minutes later, as Manuel Lanzini produced an impressive finish to beat Vicente Guaita in the Palace goal.
Lanzini had a second on the stroke of half time when he dispatched from the penalty spot after Palace captain Luka Milivojevic was deemed to have handled the ball in the area.
The hosts were the brighter of the two sides in the second half and pulled a goal pack in the 83rd minute when Odsonne Edouard finished from a Michael Olise cross.
Olise gave the Hammers a late scare when curling in a free-kick in stoppage-time, but an equaliser eluded the Eagles as West Ham moved to just a point off Arsenal in fourth.
