Demarai Gray’s late equaliser earned Everton a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest — but the Toffees’ disappointing start continues.

The breakthrough arrives with nine minutes remaining. Jordan Pickford failed to hold Ryan Yates’ shot from distance, parrying into the path of Brennan Johnson to score. 

However, the Toffees levelled the scores just seven minutes later as Pickford atoned for his error with a long ball to Gray, who raced in behind to tuck a low shot past Dean Henderson.
