Stat Attack: All you need to know about Everton 2-3 Brentford

Everton missed out on the chance to seal Premier League safety after losing 3-2 to Brentford at Goodison Park.

The Toffees got off to a brilliant start when Dominic Calvert-Lewin got a slight touch on Richarlison’s flick after just 10 minues.

But the momentum switched eight minutes later as Jarrad Branthwaite was shown a straight red card for his last-ditch challenge on Ivan Toney.

The Bees drew level eight minutes from the end of the first half via a Seamus Coleman own goal.

Yet Frank Lampard’s side went into the interval with the lead as Richarlison converted from the penalty spot in stoppage time.

The visitors dominated the second half and equalised once again when Yoane Wissa headed past Jordan Pickford in the 62nd minute.

Thomas Frank’s side then took the lead just two minutes later through Rico Henry’s powerful header at the back post.

The Toffees were reduced to nine-men two minutes from time when substitute Salomon Rondon was dismissed for a reckless tackle on Henry.
