Stat Attack: All you need to know about Leicester 4-1 Southampton

Leicester sealed a top-half Premier League finish after thrashing Southampton 4-1 at the King Power Stadium.

Following a tedious opening half, the Foxes took the lead just four minutes after the interval when James Maddison tapped Jamie Vardy’s parried effort into an empty net.

The hosts doubled their advantage after a terrific run and finish from talisman Vardy in the 74th minute.

The Saints pulled a goal back just five minutes later as James Ward-Prowse converted from the penalty spot.

But the one-goal deficit lasted just over a minute with Ayoze Perez finishing smartly from Maddison’s inviting cross.

Brendan Rodgers’ side sealed all three points in the 96th minute when Perez scores his second goal of the game with an impressive strike.
