Newcastle claimed a 3-0 win over bottom-of-the-league Norwich at Carrow Road that lifts Eddie Howe’s men into the top half of the table.
Joelinton fired the Magpies in front in the 35th minute with a sublime strike as the ball broke kindly for him on the left side of the box, smashing in off the crossbar first-time to leave Tim Krul with no chance.
Just six minutes later, the Brazilian was on the scoresheet again after the ball was deflected across goal, allowing him to slot into an empty net from an acute angle and double Newcastle’s lead.
Shortly after half-time, another Brazilian scored for the visitors as Bruno Guimaraes pounced on a poor pass from Krul and produced a delightful chip over the goalkeeper to seal the three points.
Norwich remain at the foot of the table, eight points from safety and having played two games more than 17th-placed Everton.
