Romain Perraud, James Ward-Prowse and Armando Broja scored as Southampton beat West Ham 3-1 at St. Mary’s to book an FA Cup quarter-final berth.
Saints left-back Perraud opened the scoring with a thunderous strike from outside the box in the 31st minute.
West Ham drew level on the hour as Willy Caballero made a mess of clearing a Jarrod Bowen corner, allowing Issa Diop to pounce on the loose ball and square for Michail Antonio to tap in.
The hosts regained the lead nine minutes later however as Craig Dawson was penalised for felling Broja in the area. Ward-Prowse dispatched the penalty emphatically down the middle.
On-loan Chelsea striker Broja added gloss to the scoreline late on, dancing into the box from the left and steering a low finish into the bottom corner.
