Stat Attack: All you need to know about Wolves 3-0 Sheffield United

Daniel Podence netted a brace as Wolves eased past Sheffield United 3-0 in the FA Cup third round at the Molineux.

The Portuguese winger gave the hosts the lead after 14 minutes with a tidy close-range finish.

The Blades had the ball in the back of the net before the break but it was ruled out. Billy Sharp hooked the ball in from close range but his celebrations were cut short due to a high foot.

Podence had a hand in Wolves’ second, crossing to Nelson Semedo at the far post who finished into the roof of the net.

Wolves goalkeeper John Ruddy was forced into action to deny a strong Billy Sharp volley from 12 yards.

The Premier League side put the game out of sight with 10 minutes to play when Raul Jimenez latched on to a mistake from Blades keeper Wesley Foderingham before setting up Podence for his second.
