Domestic football takes centre stage once again this weekend after an exhilarating round of European action.
We have Joleon Lescott’s exclusive column, plus weekend previews and in-depth features galore to get in the mood.
We also look towards the Carabao Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool as well as bringing you the Europa League and Europa Conference League draws.
Premier League action
Despite slipping to a stoppage-time defeat to Arsenal last night, Wolves head to West Ham on Sunday still chasing an unlikely place in the Premier League’s top four.
With the Hammers exceeding expectations too, former Premier League defender Lescott is on hand to talk through the race to achieve Champions League football next season.
He also gives his thoughts on what Manchester City must do to get their title charge back on track, while providing his predictions for all eight top-flight fixtures.
Before all of that though, relegation-threatened Norwich kick off proceedings with a Friday-night clash at Southampton.
Sitting in a safer position are Ralph Hasenhuttl’s 10th-placed Saints, who will already be looking towards the summer ahead of a potential charge towards the European places next term.
Carabao Cup
Two heavyweights of English football face off at Wembley on Sunday as Chelsea and Liverpool look to add to their glittering collection of silverware with a Carabao Cup triumph.
With both sides desperate to grab the English football season’s first major trophy, Radio 1 presenter and die-hard Reds fan Rickie Haywood-Williams is predicting the showpiece will go the distance.
European draws
A memorable night in Rangers’ recent history saw them dump out European giants Borussia Dortmund at Ibrox last night to seal a place in the Europa League last 16.
The stunning 6-4 aggregate victory hands them a chance to face the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Lyon or an opponent closer to home in West Ham.
With the likes of Atalanta, Barcelona and Porto seeded, we bring you the results of today’s draw.
We will also bring the confirmed opponents for the likes of Leicester, Roma and Marseille in the Europa Conference League.
Weekend previews
There is also plenty of club football taking place on the continent.
Serie A continues to have the closest-fought title race across Europe’s top leagues and it could take yet another twist this weekend.
With just two points separating the top three, third-placed Napoli head to Rome to face a resurgent Lazio, while leaders AC Milan host Udinese and Inter Milan face a trip to Genoa.
Real Madrid are slightly clearer at the top of LaLiga, commanding a six-point lead over Sevilla ahead of their trip across the city to Rayo Vallecano.
The Rojiblancos face a much trickier clash against third-placed Real Betis, while Barcelona will look to continue their climb up the table when they face Athletic Bilbao.
In Germany, Bayern Munich will look to maintain their lead at the top of the Bundesliga in their clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
With Dortmund not giving up hope of preventing a 10th straight title for the Bavarians, they come up against struggling Augsburg.
In other news
Among all the action, there is still plenty of speculation churning out of football’s rumour mill.
Not least Dortmund star Erling Haaland, whose future is set to be decided in the next six weeks with Manchester City leading the race for the in-demand striker’s signature.
