Transfer Talk: Arsenal sweet on Toffees hero Calvert-Lewin

Dominic Calvert-Lewin expects to leave Everton despite scoring the goal that secured their Premier League status on Thursday night.

The striker’s bullet header sent Goodison Park wild as the Toffees completed a remarkable comeback to beat Crystal Palace 3-2.

But Football Insider report that Calvert-Lewin believes Sunday’s trip to Arsenal will be his last hurrah in the blue shirt.

The Emirates is one of the likely destinations should he depart Merseyside in the next couple of months.

Arsenal and Newcastle are both keen to sign the England international, 25, who has had a season disrupted by injuries.

And reports suggest that Calvert-Lewin would prefer a move to North London, despite it looking like the Gunners will miss out on Champions League football to Tottenham.

Mikel Arteta will reportedly have more than £45million to spend on a new striker this summer with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to depart.

The Everton man will not come cheap though, given he has a contract at Goodison Park until 2025.
