Bayern Munich are reportedly monitoring Barcelona wonderkid Pedri.
Pedri, 19, played the full 90 minutes as Barca fell to a 2-0 defeat against the Bavarians in the Champions League this week.
Pedri hit 50 appearances for the Catalan giants by the age of 18 and in October 2021 he signed a new contract at the club with a release clause reported to be set at €1billion (£870million).
But Mundo Deportivo believe Bayern are ready to pounce for the midfielder, who is tied down until 2026, should he decide to leave Spain.
The German giants are said to have been interested in Barca’s No8 since he arrived on the scene with Las Palmas at just 16.
Despite the loss at the Allianz on Tuesday night, Pedri performed well for Barca, orchestrating the play alongside Sergio Busquets and Gavi.
The 5ft 7in maestro has appeared 81 times for the 26-time La Liga champions, scoring 10 times and assisting on seven occasions.
A key figure in Xavi’s rebuild at Barca, any deal will require Bayern to fork out a fortune if they are to secure his services.
