Transfer Talk: Blues boss Potter wants brilliant Bellingham

Chelsea are set to join the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham, 19, is one of the most highly-regarded players in Europe having impressed with Dortmund and in his 15 appearances for England.

With Liverpool and Manchester United already said to be interested in signing the £100million-rated teenager, The Sun report the Blues are now in the mix.

A huge summer of change at Stamford Bridge has seen new American owner Todd Boehly sign off over £250m of incoming transfers, strengthening defensive and attacking areas of the squad.

Ex-boss Thomas Tuchel was also replaced by Graham Potter last week, with the English coach said to be a huge admirer of Bellingham.

Finding long-term replacements for N’Golo Kante and Jorginho in the West Londoners’ engine room is expected to be a priority for the former Brighton manager next summer.

Bellingham is contracted to BVB until 2025 however and Chelsea will need to table a huge bid to outmuscle their Premier League rivals.
