Chelsea have joined the long list of Christopher Nkunku suitors.
The RB Leipzig forward lit up the 2021-22 campaign as he won the Bundesliga Player of the Year award.
Nkunku, 24, scored 35 goals in all competitions, including seven in just six Champions League matches.
And Chelsea are looking for ways to improve their forward line after a season where their top Premier League scorer was Mason Mount with 11.
The £97.5million signing of Romelu Lukaku failed to ignite their attack with Timo Werner continuing to miss chances.
Leipzig are in contract talks with their star man but with Goal claiming Real Madrid are also interested , they may struggle to keep the Frenchman.
Manchester United have previously been tipped with a swoop and if the Germans look set to sell, other clubs may join the race.
But Chelsea will likely need to offload attacking players if they are to strengthen and the same report suggests Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Werner is waning.
They say that the German striker’s large wages are putting BVB off making a move this summer.
