Transfer Talk: Juve eye Pulisic amid Chelsea uncertainty

Juventus are keeping Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic on their radar amid uncertainty over the American’s future in England.

Pulisic, 24, has been a rare sight for fans of the West London club this season, having played just 156 minutes in the Premier League.

The USA international was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Manchester United reportedly keen to take him on loan.

According to Tuttosport, Juve are closely monitoring Pulisic’s situation as they eye improvements to their frontline.

With Pulisic’s contract expiring in 2024, he may be on the market for a reduced fee should he decide to leave Graham Potter’s outfit.

In the 2019-20 season, the 51-cap international recorded 13 goal contributions in a campaign that saw Chelsea finish fourth in the Premier League but has struggled to hit those heights since.

The former Borussia Dortmund man admitted he had a strained relationship with former head coach Thomas Tuchel and was frustrated at broken promises.

Talking about the second leg of the Champions League defeat to Real Madrid last season, he said: “I honestly was dumbfounded and very disappointed.

“I thought that I’d earned a start and, most importantly, he had assured me previously I was going to start.

“So by the time he brought me on with about 25 minutes left, I was just so wound up.”
