Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants to make Tottenham striker Harry Kane his first signing should he become Manchester United manager.
With Ralf Rangnick currently at the helm on an interim basis, the Red Devils are looking for a permanent successor to take over in the summer.
Ex-Spurs and now Paris Saint-Germain boss Pochettino is seen as one of the favourites to take over the hotseat.
The Telgraph are claiming that if that happens, the Argentinian wants to bring his former striker to Old Trafford with him.
Senior figures at United have previously discussed making an offer for Kane, who openly admitted his desire to leave Spurs last summer.
Rivals Manchester City failed in a £130million bid to sign the England captain despite him pushing hard for the move.
Since then though, Antonio Conte has taken over at Spurs and Kane recently publicly stated that he is now much happier in North London.
But with Spurs currently in seventh, albeit with games in hand, it remains to be seen if Kane will be happy to stay if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Should United pip them to that post, a reunion with Pochettino could be a very tempting prospect.
The 49-year-old nurtured Kane through to the Spurs first team and oversaw his development into one of Europe’s deadliest goalscorers.

Real Madrid have added Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney to their list of transfer targets, according to El Espanol.
The 24-year-old Scot has been one of Mikel Arteta’s most consistent performers this season and, having only recently signed a new deal until 2026, will likely cost Real a sizeable fee.
Meanwhile, Sport say Tottenham could beat Barcelona to the free signing of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
The 25-year-old was expected to join the Catalan club this summer, but Spurs’ superior financial standing could see him head to North London.
Gareth Bale has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement to also join Spurs for free in the summer.
TuttoMercatoWeb say the Welshman will sign for the club for the third time when his Real Madrid contract expires at the end of the season.
