Paris Saint-Germain are considering a summer move for N’Golo Kante as the midfielder approaches the final year of his Chelsea contract.
The influential Frenchman is considered one of the Premier League’s finest in his position, becoming renowned for his relentless ball-winning abilities while at the Blues and previously at Leicester.
The 30-year-old will look to complete his trophy haul with the West Londoners by winning the Carabao Cup on Sunday.
He has also played pivotal roles in Champions League and Premier League triumphs for Chelsea as well as lifting the FA Cup, Club World Cup, Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup.
That is not to mention the part he played in Leicester’s fairytale Premier League triumph in 2016 and France’s victorious World Cup campaign in 2018.
But with his contract expiring next summer, the Telegraph claims interested clubs see now as the time to try to tempt Chelsea’s No7 away from Stamford Bridge after six seasons.
Seemingly front of the queue are French giants PSG, who could make their move at the end of the season.
After winning virtually all there is in England, a move back to his native country could be a tempting proposition.
Fellow midfielder Jorginho, 30, is out of contract in the summer of 2023 and it appears unlikely Chelsea would offer both stars new deals given their age.
And with Thomas Tuchel’s men heavily linked with a move for former academy player and now West Ham star Declan Rice, they may be tempted to cash in on Kante rather now than lose him for free next summer.
