Transfer Talk: Real considering shock Ronaldo move

Real Madrid are eyeing up a shock January move for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Los Blancos believe Ralf Rangnick’s arrival could mean the Portuguese legend is available for transfer.

Ronaldo signed a two-year deal at Old Trafford in the summer as he made a sensational return to Manchester.

But Football Insider believe he could follow that up with an even more surprising transfer next month.

Rangnick will want to implement his high-pressing style after taking over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer — and some believe that will not suit the 36-year-old.

But Ronaldo has already produced a number of memorable moments for the Red Devils, despite their struggles in the Premier League.

He has 12 goals in 17 games for United, including last-minute goals against Atalanta and Villarreal to help them qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.

Despite his age, it will likely take a large bid from Real to tempt United into selling and there is no guarantee Ronaldo will want to return to the Bernabeu.

And with Real sitting pretty at the top of LaLiga, they may opt against a move for their former star.
