Liverpool are ready to pounce for Borussia Dortmund’s teen sensation Youssoufa Moukoko.
Already a regular in BVB’s first team despite his tender age, the Cameroon-born forward has six goals and three assists to his name in just 13 Bundesliga appearances this term.
Moukoko represents Germany at international level and is happy at his current club — but SportBILD suggest an ongoing dispute behind the scenes could soon see a move materialise.
The report explains that Moukoko’s parents have temporarily taken over as his representatives after falling out with his previous agent over financial matters.
Given the striker turns 18 next week, a host of high-profile agencies are now desperate to land him as a client and, in turn, gauge interest from other clubs around Europe.
Though his current deal runs out this summer, Dortmund remain confident their No18 will sign a new long-term deal at Signal Iduna Park.
However, the Reds are big admirers of Moukoko and would be very interested in luring him to Anfield for a fee as low as £25million this January.
The Merseysiders are unlikely to be the only sides tabling a proposal should Moukoko become available, though, with Manchester United and Barcelona also recently linked.
With the player keen to resolve his off-field issues before making any decisions on his future, the coming days look set to be pivotal.
