Transfer Talk: Three Lions star Grealish fears City sale

Jack Grealish fears Manchester City want to sell him after failing to live up to his £100million price tag.

The England midfielder has not hit the heights expected of him since swapping Aston Villa for City in 2021.

Grealish, 27, has just seven goals and four assists in 55 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side.

As well as being an unused sub in last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Brentford, he also remained on the bench in the 1-0 loss at Liverpool last month.

Football Insider say that has left him devastated and believing City would cash in on him if the opportunity rose.

Though he has started five of their last eight Premier League games, the report suggests Grealish believes he is far from first choice.

The likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland will always be certain picks in big games, but Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan are all ahead of him in the pecking order..

The report suggests Grealish believes his dream move could turn sour, despite picking up a Premier League winners medal last term.
