Manchester United are ready to move for Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong, 21, has netted five goals in 11 Bundesliga starts for Xabi Alonso’s side this term, catching the eye of some of Europe’s big boys.
Though Diogo Dalot has impressed at right-back under boss Erik ten Hag, United are thought to want to upgrade in this area.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is considered surplus to requirements just three years after moving from Crystal Palace for £50million.
FootballTransfers believe that Frimpong fits the sort of profile of player that Ten Hag admires.
The ex-Celtic defender can play in a back four or on the right of a five-man defence, with his attacking capabilities also on full show this season.
The report suggests that other clubs, including Chelsea, would also be in the race for the Netherlands Under-21s international.
Leverkusen warded off interest in some of their better players in the summer, but a dismal start to the season has them third bottom of the German top flight and they may struggle to resist offers in January.
