Manchester United want to send Anthony Martial to Tottenham as part of a deal to sign Harry Kane.
The Red Devils are desperate to improve their striking options this summer and Kane is at the top of their list.
Martial, 26, is currently on loan at Sevilla but is not expected to make that move permanent due to the Spanish side’s finances.
According to ESPN, United are wary of spending more than £100million on Kane, who turns 29 in July.
If they can manufacture a deal that includes Martial, it could save them some cash and tempt Spurs into selling their talisman.
Manchester City tried to bring the England skipper to the Etihad prior to the current campaign but did not meet Spurs’ valuation.
Now they are hopeful of bringing in Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, leaving the door open to an Old Trafford switch for Kane.
Barring a handful of loans when he was younger, the England skipper has spent his entire career at Tottenham.
But they are struggling to qualify for the Champions League again this term and look a long way off challenging for the title.
Though United are not in a dissimilar position, a new manager this summer and potential signings may make it a tempting move for Kane.
